I have seen that some solar energy forum correspondents have been concerned about the government cutting the FiT scheme rates. However, they need not worry - the main pressure was to avoid overspending on subsidies to huge solar farms and certainly schemes that are smaller than 50KW seem safe and in June the government published Annex 2 Payment Rate table that confirmed the existing rates, agreed in 2010, for domestic PV solar schemes. It was interesting to read in this 'responses' paper that "a comparison with other European FITs schemes ... the UK should adopt an automatic degression mechanism such as that used in Germany, and that uptake under the Great Britain FITs scheme has been miniscule compared to uptake in other countries." I'm not sure what an automatic degression mechanism means but I'm assuming the 'miniscule uptake' refers to larger installations as there has been a huge growth in domestic ones.

I'd like to hear more about your installation.
1: What it cost.
2: What type of panels/Inverter.
3: Who installed it.
4: Why you chose them.
5: Your reasons for taking the plunge and what your expectations are.
Sorry for leaving this as a comment, but you have no "Contact Me" details other than "My Website" which I assume is not directly to your desk?
I hope to hear more from you soon. Best regards
